Reviews about Halifax Eye Institute
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I’d ask a few questions before having any surgery in this private practice. Questions like, is there a defibrillator on the premises? Is there oxygen? Will there be a nurse present during my surgery? Who sterilized the equipment? When was the operating room last sterilized? Is there a wheelchair in the building? What certificates do the assistants hold? Do they even have first aid? Why are there no other ophthalmologists working with Dr. Lakosha? Why does he say that it is bladeless laser surgery when you pay the extra $1000 per eye for femtosecond but then use a blade to make the incision and only do the capsulotomy with the laser? Are cancer paitients triaged after cosmetic vision correction? If you leave a poor review will you be dropped from his practice? (The answer is yes) Why is there such high staff turnover? Why does wait time average about 2 hours? Dr Lakosha is a knowledgeable and skilled ophthalmologist, but that clinic is a s&@tshow. And I would get any surgery you have done by him done in the hospital. Do not allow the staff to pressure you into private surgery for profit. It is a pay-to-jump-the-line clinic and profit is more important than safety. Your hair salon is inspected, this “private hospital” isn’t. Someone is going to get hurt. Oh, and the 5 star reviews from Liam and Morgan and Emily? First two are staff, and Emily is dating a staff member.by Jane DoeNovember 21, 2017
